Piao Miao Lu (飘邈录) Terms of Service

1. Service Description

The Game is an idle progression browser game set in an Eastern cultivation world. It provides online services including, without limitation, character progression, cultivation realm breakthroughs, gathering and crafting, marketplace trading, sect activities, and combat resolution.

The Operator may, as required for operating the Game, adjust, optimise, suspend, or terminate certain features, gameplay, numeric values, or interfaces. Such changes will be announced to users through in-game notices or official channels.

The Game is currently in an Alpha testing phase (v0.3.x), and some gameplay is still being refined. The Operator will make reasonable efforts to keep the service stable but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. For testing purposes, the Operator may carry out data rollbacks, character resets, and content adjustments in accordance with testing announcements.

2. Account Registration and Usage Rules

When registering an account, the User must provide true, accurate, and complete information and must keep the account password secure. The User bears any loss arising from incorrect account information, password disclosure, or lending the account to others.

An account is for the registered person only. Gifting, borrowing, renting, selling, or otherwise transferring an account in any form is prohibited. The Operator may restrict, freeze, or reclaim accounts that violate this provision.

Minors under the age of 18 shall use the Game with the accompaniment and consent of a guardian, and shall strictly observe applicable anti-addiction rules. Guardians shall properly perform their duties of guardianship and bear guardianship responsibility for the minor’s use of the Game and any related spending.

Users shall sign in and play through legitimate means. Any unauthorised tools or methods — including but not limited to cheats, scripts, multi-instance emulators, memory modification, and packet capture or tampering — are prohibited. Upon discovery, the Operator may immediately ban the account without refunding any virtual items or fees.

3. Virtual Items and Purchases

Virtual items and virtual entitlements offered in the Game — including Spirit Stones (灵石), Spirit Jade (灵玉), pills, artifacts, equipment, cultivation, realms, and skills (collectively “Virtual Items”) — are service certificates provided by the Operator for use within the Game. Ownership of Virtual Items remains with the Operator, while the right of use belongs to a qualifying account.

Paid virtual currency obtained through top-ups (such as Spirit Jade) may only be used within the Game and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash or any other legal tender. Refund requests will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the specific circumstances; where mandatory legal provisions apply, those provisions prevail.

Virtual Items may be reclaimed or become invalid if the game service is suspended or terminated, or if an account is lawfully banned. The Operator will handle any unconsumed paid virtual currency remaining at the time of service termination in accordance with announcements and applicable law.

The Game uses third-party payment channels (such as Dodo Payments) to process top-ups. The payment process and the security of funds are the responsibility of the relevant payment service provider under its own terms. The Operator only grants the corresponding Virtual Items to the account after the order status changes.

4. User Code of Conduct

While using the Game, users shall not engage in the following: publishing content that violates laws, regulations, or public order and good morals; spreading rumours, insulting, harassing, or threatening others; malicious flooding, account laundering, score manipulation, or exploiting bugs for profit; malicious attacks on servers or theft of other users’ accounts; any form of cash trading, boosting, or proxy top-ups; or any other conduct that violates laws, regulations, social ethics, or these Terms.

The Operator may impose warnings, muting, feature restrictions, temporary bans, or permanent bans on violating accounts. In serious cases or where a crime is suspected, the Operator will cooperate with the competent authorities in accordance with the law.

Users are responsible for the nicknames, signatures, chat messages, and other content they publish in the Game. The Operator may delete, block, or modify violating content and reserves the right to pursue corresponding liability.

5. Intellectual Property

Intellectual property rights in the program code, art assets, text, music, UI design, worldbuilding, and story settings of the Game are held by the Operator or its lawful right holders, and are protected by the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China and other applicable laws and international treaties.

Without the written permission of the Operator, no individual or entity may copy, modify, distribute, sell, or use the foregoing content for any commercial purpose.

6. Disclaimer

The Operator shall not be liable, within a reasonable scope, for service interruptions or data anomalies caused by force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, war, governmental acts, network failures, and failures of telecommunications lines or infrastructure), but will make reasonable efforts to restore service and handle follow-up matters.

Losses caused by the User’s own reasons (such as device failure, poor network conditions, account disclosure, or mistaken operations) shall be borne by the User.

Some content in the Game (such as worldbuilding, characters, and place names) is fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, organisations, or events is purely coincidental.

7. Changes and Termination

The Operator may revise these Terms as required by laws and regulations or for operating needs. Revised Terms will be published through in-game notices or official channels. Continued use of the Game is deemed acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree with the revisions, you should stop using the Game.

If a user violates these Terms or applicable laws and regulations, the Operator may terminate the provision of services at any time. If the Operator stops all or part of the Game due to business adjustments or termination of operations, it will notify users in advance through announcements.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The formation, effectiveness, performance, and interpretation of these Terms, and the resolution of disputes, are governed by the laws of the mainland territory of the People’s Republic of China (excluding the laws of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan).

Disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before a competent people’s court in the place where the Operator is located.
